• Clear RAM option :- this option is usually present in Task-manager of most of the Android devices . The use of this option is that it removes the Cache files of all the application from the primary memory and hence provides space for new apps . and hence boosts your device . in galaxy y go to task manager >RAM>Clear Memory
• Phone Memory :- Move all your apps to Memory card (Which are possible to move) , this option is usually present in the application > Manage application option . This Frees your phone memory .In galaxy y go to settings >applications>manage applications> Choose an app >Move to phone if available .
• Background Applications :- Close the Unnecessary applications by going in task manager . In galaxy y task-manager>Active apps > Close the app which is not wanted .
• Custom Rom :- For most of the android devices custom ROMS have been released , try replacing those with the customs you will surely get better results .For Galaxy y use Jellybean , or creeds ROM .
• Clearing Cache Partition :- Go to recovery mode (Try searching Google , how to get into recovery mode in your phone ) , in galaxy y , switch off your phone completely press the volume up button , home button and power own button TOGETHER  for 3-4 seconds and then leave them.... your phone will boot in recovery mode select the clear cache option and .... prompt  yes... your cache will be cleared .
