Facebook : 5 Hidden dangers you must know

After the arrival of Facebook in the list Social-Sharing websites , it has been greatly Demanded . And has become the Top Social Networking site over the years , giving Google + the second place in the list . Some times it seem To leave back Google in its usage as the Most demanded and accessed site . But now with increasing popularity , the drawbacks of Facebook are increasing .

The Five main threat were Pointed as :-

• Use Of Third-Party Applications :- When you play some game on Facebook or some applications like farmville , angry birds etc , it asks you for permissions and you usually grant them not even caring what they actually are . These application when allowed to access account 'When we click on allow' , Can get your name , your friends names , your birthday , every post you shared as privacy 'Everyone' your photos, videos ,gender and the worst if you have added your phone number to Facebook that to can be accessed . 
• Permanent E-mail shown publicly :- Most of the Facebook users their Account based on Gmail or yahoo services , when you open someone 's Profile these things are shown Publicly , which users do not want this increase the threat of Facebook accounts being Hacked. Though this may be corrected by privacy settings but in most of the cases is left carelessly .
• Facebook ads  : Though we understand to Keep Facebook free , something is required , and so are the ads but Facebook should take care of the link provided in the ads , It was Reported that there was an ad named "GET FACEBOOK NUMBER" which asked user to enter their usernames and passwords , which were sent to the phisher's log , this ads once clicked also sent invitation to the Friends of the victim , and there accounts have to be Compromised .
• The Security Bug : On 6th May it was reported that because of a security bug your friends were allowed to exploit private chats of others , see the pending friend request etc , It was so dangerous that it lead to Facebook Chat shutting Down for a week .
• Fake Profiles :- Spammers create fake profile of users because their personal information is shown publicly , then they send the friend request to the victim's friends and most probably it gets accepted .

These were some of the Privacy issues by Facebook , so its recommended to accepts Friend request only after confirming the Correct identity of the person , not to set privacy as EVERYONE , Play or open only reputed Facebook apps , Do not click on offers like 'Get free mobile recharge' or 'Earn $999 in a day' etc these are all scams and pose security threat .
