Few hours ago Google the search engine giant blocked all windows phone users to access Google Maps . Though it was first thought to be a bug and will be removed in a period of time but as news hits .. it was found that Google officially Blocked Windows phone Users to Have Access to the mobile version of windows apps . The blocking method was simple any user who opened Google maps on there IE Browser , They were simply redirected to Google Homepage that is Google.com , without any Notification or Report stating why the error occured .
Though now Google States that the block Was temporary and Was for 'A better user Experience ' and not merely for a 'Bad intention' . Google States that Windows Phone User were blocked because they Run Internet Explorer - The Microsoft's Browser . Which is not Enhanced for Google maps to Run . Whereas the Android and iOS browsers that are Chrome And Mobile safari , are optimized .

Google Maps Accessible to Windows Phone Users |
Google's Statement :-
"We periodically test Google Maps compatibility with mobile browsers to make sure we deliver the best experience for those users.
In our last test, IE mobile still did not offer a good maps experience with no ability to pan or zoom and perform basic map functionality. As a result, we chose to continue to redirect IE mobile users to Google.com where they could at least make local searches. The Firefox mobile browser did offer a somewhat better user experience and that's why there is no redirect for those users.
Recent improvements to IE mobile and Google Maps now deliver a better experience and we are currently working to remove the redirect. We will continue to test Google Maps compatibility with other mobile browsers to ensure the best possible experience for users."
Though Before the Redirect Google Maps worked Fine on Windows phone 8 , Not as good as Chrome Or Mozilla Or safari But Still They Worked . Google's Moves is understandable , it has always wanted to give its user the best Experience they can . But microsoft is taking it as A type of 'Revenge' or 'intentional' Matter .Google have no Problem in allowing Windows Phone 8 users to run maps - the Only thing because they Blocked them was to provide an Optimized Version On Internet Explorer .
